Membership discounts

Updated today

When applying a manual discount to a membership, you can reduce the price of the initial payment by a fixed amount or apply a percentage or custom discount to both the initial and future auto-payments.

You can also apply client-specific membership discounts by editing a client’s membership directly from the Passes & Memberships page.

Key tips

  • If an individual membership is customized after it’s been purchased, any discount codes that were applied to the membership will no longer be valid.
For example, if a client buys a membership with a 15% discount, changing settings like attendance restrictions later will remove the discount.

  • Discounts of any type applied to a package will only apply to the initial payment. Any memberships contained within the package won’t receive discounts on future auto-payments.

  • A modified membership discount will appear as a dollar-value amount.

  • If a client gets a discount based on their client type when buying a membership, it stays active for the full term—even if their client type or the discount settings change later. You can still manually adjust the discount on their individual membership if needed.
