When purchasing a package that contains Purchase Options, the start and expiration dates of the individual items within the package might affect the start and expiration dates of the package itself.
Package start dates
A package's start date activates its items but doesn’t always affect each item.
The package start date overrides the membership's auto-payment date if:
The auto-payment date is the date of sale and matches the package start date.
The auto-payment date is before the package start date.
It does not override the auto-payment date if:
The auto-payment date is after the package start date. In that case, the membership starts on its scheduled auto-payment date.
Package expiration dates
A package’s expiration date overrides a Purchase Option’s expiration if the Purchase Option expires after the package.
Example: A package is set to expire May 15, but a membership in the package expires May 30. In this case, the membership's expiration date is overridden and set to May 15.
Expiration dates are not overridden when:
The Purchase Option expires before the package.
The package has no expiration date.
