Understanding session passes

A session pass is a type of Purchase Option that offers clients a set number of visits to your locations for a set dollar amount. For example, a client can purchase a session pass that lets them join 10 boxing classes. Session passes expire either after the client uses up all the sessions, or a specified expiry date has been reached.

Unique types of session passes:

Unlimited pass

A pass that grants a client unlimited access to services. This can be set up for either a specific service, or for any service that your business offers.

Duration pass

A duration pass that grants clients access to their locations and services over a specified time span. Like unlimited passes, this can be set up for a single service or multiple services.

Non-sequential day passes

A non-sequential day pass is a type of duration pass that provides clients with all-day access to a location for a set number of days. The client can choose which days to use their pass on, and the business can decide whether the pass should have an expiry date or should just expire whenever the amount of days run out on the pass.

What can you do with session passes?

With session passes you can:

  • Offer pay-as-you-go options for clients to attend services at their convenience.

  • Provide affordable or complimentary introductory passes for prospects to try out your services.

  • Retain clients and automatically renew or convert session passes upon expiration.

  • Create passes with attendance restrictions tailored to specific service types.

  • Bundle session passes with other items in packages.

  • Put session passes on hold for clients unable to access services for a period, ensuring they don't lose their sessions.

Multiple bookings

  • A single session pass can be used to pay for multiple unpaid bookings at once, but if the session pass runs out of sessions, the remaining visits will be marked as unpaid.
