Understanding services

“Services” is the general term used in WellnessLiving to describe the different types of services you can offer to your clients. Clients can be booked into services through several methods:

  • By staff members using the Staff Back Office or the Elevate Staff App.

  • By themselves using the Client Web App, Achieve Client App, third party booking partners, or WellnessLiving Explorer.

What can you do with services?

  • Appointments: One-on-one services such as personal training sessions, massages, or private consultations.

  • Book-a-Spot assets: A service that allows clients to reserve time on a specific piece of equipment at one of your locations, such as a stationary bike or punching bag. These can be booked alone, or associated with another service, such as a spin class or boxing class.

  • Classes: Small group sessions with attendance lists that you can set to occur at regular intervals, such as weekly yoga lessons.

  • Events: A self-contained series of sessions that are usually attended over multiple days, such as retreats and boot camps.

  • Gym visits: A unique type of service that allows your clients to freely access your facilities during your open business hours without taking up space on your business’s schedule.

Getting started with services

Before clients can be booked into services, follow these steps:

  1. Set up your available services: Determine which services can be created in the system and sold to your clients. For more information, see Setting up your available services.

  2. Set up staff working hours: Set the working hours of the staff members that will be leading your services. For more information, see Managing a staff member’s working hours.

  3. Create some new services: Click on the App Drawer then click on Setup > Services. From there, select the type of service you want to create.

  4. Add services to schedule: Add times on your schedule for your recurring services, such as classes and events.

  5. Start booking: Once everything is set up, clients can begin booking services hassle-free.

Key tips

  • Multiple days

    • Services can span multiple days, if needed. For example, you can set up a class that runs from Monday to Tuesday, provided that your location’s business hours are configured to remain open without interruption.
