Client type settings

This article describes all the general information and advanced settings available when you are creating or modifying a client type.

To access client types, click the App Drawer then click Setup > Clients > Client Types.

General Information

Description

Name

The name of the client type.

Item Description

A description of the client type. You can include information about who will be assigned the client type and any discounts it provides.

Icon Settings

Design of the icon that will be displayed next to clients of this client type. This icon is displayed on the Overview page of client profiles and in the client list, attendance list, Message Center, and certain reports.

  • SHAPE – Choose from circle, hexagon, or star for your icon.

  • SHAPE COLOR – Choose the color of the icon’s shape.

  • LETTER – Select the letter that will be displayed in the center of the icon. You can choose any single letter from A-Z.

  • LETTER COLOR – Choose the color of the letter that will be displayed in the center of the icon.

Description

Priority Wait List

When this checkbox is selected, clients of this type will be added to a priority wait list. The priority wait list is favored over the regular wait list and clients will be promoted accordingly.

Display Client Type to Client

When this checkbox is selected, clients of this type will be able to see their client type on their profile.

Applied Discounts

Select and configure the discount(s) for clients of this type. You can set discounts for Purchase Options, services, and products.

  • Multiple discounts can be configured for each category.

  • You must select the category of the discount, the dollar amount or percentage value of the discount, and the item that is being discounted.

  • Notes:

    • In the store, a notification is displayed when a client has discounts associated with their client type.

      • When staff members are in the store, the notification is displayed in the Client Information.

      • In the Client Web App, the notification is displayed under Store Category.

    • If items eligible for discount are added to the shopping cart, the client type discounts are automatically added to the Discount amount in the totals section.

    • When clients book services on the Client Web App, the client type discount is applied automatically. The discount amount is displayed when selecting applicable Purchase Options and in the cart during checkout.

    • Client type discounts for events only apply when booking all sessions of an event instance and won’t be applied when booking individual sessions.
