Enable make-up sessions for an event
Updated over a month ago

When a client misses a session for an event, they can attend a make-up session. You can configure any class or event to count as a make-up for a missed event and set a limit on the number of make-up sessions that can be attended. Make-up sessions can occur at any time, regardless of the original event’s date range.

Usually, if a client misses a session of an event and books a class or event that qualifies as a make-up session, the class or event is automatically marked as a make-up session and considered to be paid. If the make-up session isn’t automatically applied, you will need to manually replace the missed session with a make-up session.

To enable make-up sessions for an event, follow these steps:

  1. Click the App Drawer button then click View All > Setup > Services > Events.

  2. Select an existing event.

  3. Under Advanced Settings, scroll to Make-Up Sessions and click Allow make-up sessions.

  4. To set the number of make-up sessions allowed for the event, select an option from the Number of sessions menu.

  5. Select the checkbox next to the classes and events that qualify as make-up sessions for this event. To allow all classes and events to qualify as make-up sessions, select the Select All checkbox.

  6. Click Save.

Note: You can come back to this setting at any time and click Disable make-up sessions to turn this setting off. Keep in mind that disabling make-up sessions for an event prevents clients from using canceled sessions to pay for another event. To allow this, you’ll need to enable make-up sessions for the original event.
