If your business has a website and you use Barclaycard as a payment processor, there are certain criteria that your website must meet in order to be considered valid.
Barclaycard performs regular website checks, and if your website does not meet the requirements, it could lead to an interruption in your payment processing services.
Criteria
Ensure that your business’s website meets the following requirements:
The legal name of your business must be clearly displayed.
Business contact information must be displayed.
There must be complete descriptions for all goods and services sold by your business.
All taxes must be included in the prices for all goods and services sold by your business.
Terms and conditions of sale must be available.
Customers must be prompted to review and accept terms and conditions of sale when placing orders on the website, before entering payment card details.
Your delivery policy must be available.
Your policies for returns, refunds, and cancellations of purchased goods or services must be available.
Note: You can find online resources to help you set up your website’s terms and conditions as well as the other required policies. For example, Shopify.ca offers a terms and conditions generator and a refund policy generator, both for free. Find other free tools at https://www.shopify.ca/tools, or explore other options to help you create a professional and engaging website that meets all of Barclaycard’s requirements.
