To set up your Event Widget, click the App Drawer then click View All > Setup > Website Widgets > Event.

Understanding the Event Widget

The Event Widget is a widget that allows your clients to book events at your business directly through your website or Facebook page.

What you can do with the Event Widget

  • Allow clients to quickly and conveniently book events directly from marketing material on your website or Facebook page with just a few clicks.

  • Attract new clients by inviting prospective clients to book. If they decide to book through the widget, they will be prompted to create a client profile with your business before they can book an event.

  • Display events for all your locations or only display events for a specific location.

  • Allow clients to search the widget by date to find more details about the events you offer.

Getting started with the Event Widget

Follow these steps to start using the Event Widget:

  1. Set up your Event WidgetAdjust the settings of your Event Widget to get it ready for posting. If you have web development resources on your team, you can even customize the design of your Event Widget using CSS (Cascading Style Sheet).

  2. Embed your Event Widget – Once your Event Widget has been set up, you can embed it into your website or Facebook page.

Key tips

  • Signing in

    • Clients must be signed in to WellnessLiving to book events from the widget. New clients who sign up through the widget must create a client profile and agree to the necessary terms and conditions before they can book an event.

  • Event settings

    • If you set a custom image for your event in your event’s general settings, that image will be displayed alongside your event in the Events Widget. Otherwise, a placeholder image will be displayed.

  • Store settings

    • If your business has the Require clients to add a credit card to their profile to book services option set to ON in the store settings, clients will be prompted to save their billing information to their client profile before completing the booking. If they don’t save their information, the service can’t be booked.

  • Cookies
