Understanding relationships

Relationships is a term used by WellnessLiving when multiple clients are associated with each other in the system. A client profile can be linked to another client’s profile by a relationship (for instance, child, friend, guardian, parent, sibling, spouse, or other).

What you can do with relationships

Relationships link your clients and allow them to share or perform actions on each other’s behalf. Clients can:

  • Sign in and edit a relationship's profile.

  • Share a relationship’s email and phone number.

  • View their relationship's schedule.

  • Book services or assets for relationships.

  • Share or transfer a Purchase Option to a relationship.

  • Add to a relationship’s account balance.

  • Pay for a relationship’s transactions.

Getting started with relationships

Before client relationships can be made, you must follow these steps:

  1. Configure the business policy settings – On the Setup menu, go to Business Policies > Security and under ACCESS TO RELATED CLIENT PROFILES, configure the client profile relationship settings for your business. For more information on what these settings do, see the Security section under Business policy settings.

  2. Add relationships to a client’s profile – Once everything is set up, you can add relationships to a client’s profile.

Key tips

Number of relationships

  • There is no limit on the number of relationships a client can have.

Family relations

  • You must specify all relationships between family members. WellnessLiving won’t assume relationships based on other family relations.

    • For example, if John is Jane’s spouse, and Steven is Jane’s child, WellnessLiving won’t automatically assume Steven is John’s child.
