Enable and disable wait lists

Wait lists can be enabled or disabled across your entire business or for specific services using custom business policies and can be tailored to your specific business needs.

Enable or disable wait lists across all services

To enable or disable wait lists across all services, follow these steps:

  1. Click the App Drawer button then click View All > Setup > Business > Business Policies > Wait list.

  2. Under WAIT LIST POLICY, enable or disable wait lists.

  3. When enabling wait lists, you can:

    • Select which services wait lists will apply to.

    • Allow clients to join a wait list without paying in advance.

      • When this option is enabled, you can choose if clients will be automatically charged for the service after being promoted from the wait list.

    • Set a cap on your wait lists.

  4. Under WAIT LIST PROMOTION, select one of the following options:

    • To automatically promote clients from the wait list to the service, select Clients are promoted automatically in the order they joined the wait list up to [number][duration] before the session start time.

    • To notify the client and require them to confirm their spot in the service, select Clients are notified to accept in the order they joined the wait list and have [number][duration] until the next person is notified.

  5. Click Save.

Enable or disable wait lists for a specific service

To enable or disable wait lists for a specific service, follow these steps:

  1. Click the App Drawer button then click View All > Setup > Services.

  2. On the Services menu, click Appointments, Classes, Events, or Book-a-Spot.

  3. In the list, click the service you want to modify. You may have to browse the list, use the Search option, or filter the list to find the service.

  4. In Advanced Settings, under Custom Business Policies, click Use [service]-specific business policies.

  5. Under Wait List Policy, enable or disable wait lists.

  6. When enabling wait lists, you can:

    • Select which services wait lists will apply to.

    • Allow clients to join a wait list without paying in advance.

      1. When this option is enabled, you can choose if clients will be automatically charged for the service after being promoted from the wait list.

    • Set a cap on your wait lists.

  7. Under WAIT LIST PROMOTION, select one of the following options:
