Connect and disconnect a Mailchimp account

With the Mailchimp integration, you can sync one of your WellnessLiving client contact lists with a Mailchimp mailing list. Once set up, any new or updated client profiles in WellnessLiving will automatically update the corresponding Mailchimp list. All fields in the client’s profile, including custom client fields, must have matching equivalents in Mailchimp to properly synchronize.

Caution: All custom client fields in WellnessLiving must be created within the Mailchimp list before syncing. Mailchimp list fields have a limit of 255 characters. If your custom client fields in WellnessLiving exceed this limit, you must rename them to match the fields in Mailchimp. If a sync is attempted without corresponding fields on Mailchimp, the sync will fail.

Key tips before you begin

  • Clients must consent to being added to Mailchimp by subscribing to news and updates for your business. If a client provides consent, you can change a client’s notification settings in their client profile. Clients can also change their notifications settings from the Client Web App. Consent to receive emails is a requirement dictated by Mailchimp.

  • Changes made in WellnessLiving can take up to 24 hours to apply to your Mailchimp list.

  • Synchronization between WellnessLiving and Mailchimp is one-way. If a client unsubscribes from your communications on Mailchimp, you must manually unsubscribe them in WellnessLiving.

  • If two client profiles with different email addresses are merged, both email addresses will remain in your Mailchimp list. The unused email address may be removed manually from Mailchimp if desired.

Connect a Mailchimp account

To connect a Mailchimp account, complete the following:

  1. Click the App Drawer button then click View All > Setup > Integrations > Mailchimp.

  2. Click CONNECT BUSINESS. A Mailchimp login page is displayed.

  3. Enter your Mailchimp credentials and click Log In.

  4. Click Choose list. A list of your Mailchimp contact lists is displayed.

  5. Select the Mailchimp list you would like to keep synced. You can only choose one list.

  6. Click SAVE. Your Mailchimp contact list is now connected to WellnessLiving.

Disconnect a Mailchimp account

To disconnect a Mailchimp account:

  1. Click the App Drawer button then click View All > Setup > Integrations > Mailchimp.

  2. Click the X next to the name of the business integrated with Mailchimp.

  3. In the confirmation popup, click OK.
