Change a client's notification settings

As a staff member, you can update a client’s notification settings to control which email and SMS messages they receive from your business. This ensures clients stay informed about their schedule, account activity, and business announcements.

Key tips before you begin

  • If you adjust the notification settings in a staff member’s client profile, the changes will also be applied to the staff member’s staff profile.

  • To receive email or SMS notifications using the QUICK contact method, clients must have the EMAIL or SMS options under News and updates set to ON. To receive SMS messages from Message Center, clients must have the SMS option under News and updates set to ON.

  • Clients will always receive the welcome email when they create a client profile in WellnessLiving, regardless of their notification settings. The welcome email contains a welcome message and the account credentials the client must use to sign in to their profile.

Change a client's notification settings

To change a client's notification settings, complete the following:

  1. Go to the client's profile

    • Click Search in the Top Nav Bar, enter the client’s name or contact details, and select them from the search results.

  2. Open the notifications section

    • On the side menu, click Notifications.

  3. Update notification settings

    • Under Email and SMS, set the toggles to ON or OFF for the following categories:

      • Schedule and reminders: Controls notifications about bookings and upcoming services, including:

        • Appointment reminders

        • Class reminders

        • Event reminders

        • Visit confirmations

        • Appointment booking notifications

      • Account management: Controls notifications related to a client’s account and payments, including:

        • Payment receipts

        • Auto-renewal notifications

        • Password resets

        • Contract confirmations

        • Account balance updates

      • News and updates: Controls general business messages and promotions, including:

        • Promotions

        • Announcements

        • Birthday messages

        • Lead follow-ups

        • Special event notifications

  4. Save your changes

    • Click Save to apply the new notification settings.
