Each product can be associated with a barcode. A product’s barcode is a unique identifying number that can be used in the store to quickly add the product to the shopping cart when making a sale.
Assign a barcode to a product
To assign a barcode to a product, complete the following:
Click the App Drawer button
then click View All > Setup > Store Configuration > Products.
On the Products page, add or modify a product:
To add a new product, click ADD PRODUCT.
To associate a barcode to an existing product, click the product in the list. You may have to browse the list, use the Search option, or filter the list to find the product.
Enter the barcode that you want to associate with the product in one of the following ways:
Under BARCODE #, enter a custom barcode number.
To generate a random barcode, hover over the BARCODE # box and click the Generate barcode button
You can optionally assign a SKU number to the product for inventory tracking purposes. Under SKU #, enter a custom SKU number.
Click SAVE.
Use a barcode to add a product to the shopping cart
To use a barcode to add a product to the shopping cart, complete the following:
Click the App Drawer button
then click View All > Store.
Add a product to the shopping cart in one of the following ways:
Under Products and Services, click the Search Products box and scan the barcode with a connected barcode scanner. WellnessLiving officially supports the Zebra DS9308-SR scanner. For more information, see Configuring the Zebra DS9308-SR barcode scanner.
To manually enter a barcode, under Products and Services, enter the barcode number in the Search Products box.
Complete your checkout as usual.
