Display Events on the Class Schedule Widget

Updated over a week ago

Though WellnessLiving offers a standalone Event Widget, many businesses prefer to show events alongside classes in one unified schedule. This simplifies the client experience, reduces clicks, and keeps everything in one place—especially if you prefer the design of the Class Schedule Widget. The good news? You can add events to the Class Schedule Widget in just two easy steps.

Key tips before you begin

  • Review Book Now tabs If an event isn’t showing, try assigning it to a class tab, as event tabs don’t display in the widget.

  • Test your widget – Preview it on desktop and mobile to check the layout.

Step 1: Add your event to a "class" Book Now tab

First, you’ll add the event to a Book Now tab that’s set up to show classes.

To add your event to a class Book Now tab, follow these steps:

  1. Click the App Drawer button then click Setup > Web Applications > Client View Settings.

  2. Under Book Now Tabs, click Add Book Now Tab.

  3. Give your new tab a name.

  4. Under Service Type, select Classes—even for your event.
❗️This step is key to making sure your event appears in the widget.

  5. Click Save.

  6. In the setup menu click Services > Events.

  7. Select an existing event or create a new one.

  8. Under Book Now Tab, select the tab that you just created.

  9. Click Save.

Step 2: Customize your Schedule Widget to include events

Next, you need to update the settings in the Custom Schedule Widget Skin that you want to show events.

To display events in a Schedule Widget, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Setup > Website Widgets > Custom Schedule.

  2. Click the Actionbutton > Edit on the skin you want to update or click Add Skin to create a new one.

  3. Go to Default Filters > Event Type, make sure your event is selected, along with any other services you want to show.

  4. Click Save.

That’s it! Your event should now appear on your schedule widget next to regular classes.
