Understanding the Schedule Widget

The Schedule Widget is a type of widget that allows you to display the schedules for your classes and events on your website or Facebook page. When a client selects a service displayed on the widget, they’ll be prompted to sign in to WellnessLiving to make the booking.

There are two types of Schedule Widgets:

  • Standard Schedule Widget – A streamlined, basic version of the widget.

  • Custom Schedule Widget – A version of the schedule widget that can be customized to suit your business needs by changing its style and structure.

Key features of the Schedule Widget

The schedule widget allows you to:

  • Display a schedule for each location – If your business has more than one location and you want to display different schedules for each, you can create and embed a widget on your website or Facebook page for each location.

  • Provide a cohesive user experience – You can customize the schedule widget so that it matches your business’s branding on your website or Facebook page, providing your customers with an effortless experience and building their trust in your brand.

Getting started with the Schedule Widget

Before you can display your schedule on your website or Facebook page, follow these steps:

  1. Create or modify for custom schedule widget Create or modify the structure and design of the widget.

    • This is only applicable to the Custom Schedule Widget

  2. Embed the widget or widget button – Add the widget or widget button to your website or Facebook page so that your clients can interact with the schedule without being redirected to another page.

  3. Display your schedule – Once everything is set up, you can begin displaying your schedule on your website or Facebook page.

Key tips

  • Schedule views

    • The Schedule Widget can be viewed in both list and calendar view. However, the calendar view can’t be displayed if the width of the widget is less than 1024 pixels on screen. To change to calendar view, click the Calendar button in the top-left corner of the widget.

    • The size of the screen also determines which widget is displayed. The Custom Schedule Widget will automatically convert to the Standard Schedule Widget when the widget is placed in an area with a screen width smaller than 1200 pixels.

    • When viewing the current day, week, or month’s schedule in the Schedule Widget, clients will only see upcoming services.

      • For example, if a client uses your Schedule Widget to view the current week on a Wednesday at 3:00 p.m., they’ll only see services scheduled after Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. and before Sunday at 11:59 p.m. that week. This allows clients to see which services scheduled for the current week are still available to be booked. If they’re viewing the previous or upcoming week’s schedule, all scheduled services will be displayed.

  • Service display order

    • When classes and events are scheduled at the same time, classes are displayed first. If two services of the same type are scheduled at the same time, the order in which they appear on the widget depends on how the services are organized on their respective pages. For more information, see Organizing services on the schedule.

  • Accessibility

  • Before booking through the widgets

    • New clients who click Sign Up in the Standard Schedule Widget or the Custom Schedule Widget will receive a registration confirmation email and must create a client profile and agree to the necessary terms and conditions before they can book a service. For more information, see Signing up as a client.

    • If your business has the Require clients to add a credit card to their profile to book services option set to ON in the store settings, new clients who don’t have their billing information saved to their client profile will be prompted to save their credit card information to their profiles before completing the booking. If they don’t save their information, the service can’t be booked.
