Understanding the Schedule Widget

The Schedule Widget is a type of widget that displays the class and event schedules on your website or Facebook page. When a client selects a service, they’re prompted to sign in to WellnessLiving to make the booking.

There are two types of Schedule Widgets:

  • Standard Schedule Widget – A streamlined, widget designed for quick and simple use.

  • Custom Schedule Widget – A more flexible widget that lets you customize the style and structure to suit your business needs.

Key features of the Schedule Widget

The schedule widget allows you to:

  • Display a schedule for each location – If your business has more than one location and needs to display different schedules, you can create and embed a widget on your website or Facebook page for each location.

  • Provide a cohesive user experience – You can customize the schedule widget to match your branding on your website or Facebook page, providing a seamless experience for your customers and strengthening their trust in your brand.

Getting started with the Schedule Widget

Before you can display your schedule on your website or Facebook page:

  1. Create or modify the custom schedule widget – Create or modify the structure and design of the widget.

  2. Embed the widget or widget button – Add the widget or widget button to your website or Facebook page so that your clients can interact with the schedule without being redirected to another page.

  3. Display your schedule – Once everything is set up, your schedule is displayed on your website or Facebook page.

Key tips

  • Schedule views

    • The Schedule Widget can be viewed in both list and calendar view. However, calendar view isn't available if the width of the widget is less than 1024 pixels on screen. To change to calendar view, click Calendar in the top-left corner of the widget.

    • The screen size also determines which widget is displayed. When the widget is placed in an area with a screen width under 1200 pixels, the Custom Schedule Widget automatically switches to the Standard Schedule Widget.

    • When viewing the current day, week, or month in the Schedule Widget, clients only see upcoming services.

      • For example, if a client checks the current week on a Wednesday at 3:00 p.m., they’ll only see services from that time through Sunday at 11:59 p.m. that week. This helps clients view services that are still available to be booked. If they view a past or upcoming week, all scheduled services are displayed.

  • Service display order

    • When classes and events are scheduled at the same time, classes are displayed first. If two services of the same type are scheduled at the same time, the order depends on how the services are organized on their respective pages. For more information, see Organizing services on the schedule.

  • Accessibility

    • Clients who disable cookies in their browser won’t be able to book any services on the Schedule Widget.

  • Before booking through the widgets

    • New clients who click Sign Up in the Standard or the Custom Schedule Widget will get a confirmation email and must create a profile and accept the terms before booking a service.

    • If your store settings require a credit card to book services, new clients without saved billing info will be prompted to add a card before booking. Without this info saved to their profile, they won’t be able to book.
