Send automated notifications to specific client types or groups

You can send automated notifications to only specific client types or groups by modifying the email send rules of your automated notifications. Modifying the email send rules will affect not only automated emails, but automated SMS messages and push notifications that are enabled as well.

Key tips before you begin

  • Automated emails are sent at midnight on the scheduled sending day. Clients must be in the correct types or groups the day before the email is sent.

  • Automated notifications are sent only to clients who belong to all selected types and groups. Clients in just one group will not receive the notification.

Specify a client type or group for automated notifications

To send an automated notification to a specific client type or group:

  1. Click the App Drawer button then click Setup > Notifications > Client Notifications.

  2. Click the Edit button Pencil in the email column of the notification you want to modify.

  3. Under Email Send Rules, select who will receive the automated notification:

    • Set Send only to specific Client Types to ON and select client types.

    • Set Send only to specific Client Groups to ON and select client groups.

  4. Click Save.
