Enable custom notifications for services

When creating or modifying a service, you can enable custom confirmation or reminder notifications for your clients that will be sent instead of the default confirmation and reminder notifications. If you have both default and custom notifications enabled, the custom notifications will take priority.

Enable custom notifications for a service

To enable custom confirmation emails for a service:

  1. Open the App Drawer then click View All > Setup > Services.

  2. On the Services menu, click Appointments, Classes, Events, or Book-a-Spot to select the service for your custom notification. Use the search or add filters to find the service quickly.

  3. Under Notifications, set the Client notifications option to ON.

  4. Set the Custom confirmation notification option and/or Custom reminder notification to ON.

  5. Choose between Email, SMS, or Push notification. Click the Edit button to modify the template for each option.

  6. Under Send Rules:

    1. Determine when the notification is sent to the client under Notification send time (prior to service start).

      • Click Add reminder to add an additional notification with a different send time.

    2. Determine which clients will receive the notification:

      • To send the notification to specific client types only, set Send to specific client types to ON and then select the checkbox next to each client type.

      • To send the notification to specific client groups only, set the Send to specific client groups option to ON and then select the checkbox next to each client group.

  7. Customize other settings and content for each delivery method.

  8. Click Save. When you return to the service settings page, click Save here as well to ensure your changes are saved for this service.
