Passport is one of two WellnessLiving integration partners that provides you with door access, allowing you to control which of your customers can access your locations. Review this article to set up and grant access with Passport.
Set up door access with Passport
Before you can grant door access with Passport and WellnessLiving, follow these steps to set up the Passport integration:
1. Contact WellnessLiving
Contact WellnessLiving to begin the process. We’ll connect you directly with Passport to receive a quote for your hardware and installation costs.
2. Connect with Passport
Using the information provided by WellnessLiving, contact Passport to receive a quote. At this point, inform your contact that you want to integrate with WellnessLiving. Be sure to provide the following information:
Your business name
Your preferred contact name
Your location address
Your phone number
Your business ID
If you already have door access hardware installed, be sure to include the below information as well. They can likely use your existing hardware, so you don’t need to install anything new.
Current door access provider
Number of doors
Equipment details (locks, FOBs, readers, controllers)
3. Install Passport Hardware
Install Passport hardware at your locations.
4. Finalize your connection with Passport
Once your hardware is installed, Passport will connect with WellnessLiving and we’ll finalize your connection. At this point, you can begin granting door access to your clients and staff.
Grant door access with Passport
There are two different ways you can manage door access with Passport.
Client groups – Use the client groups you set up in WellnessLiving to determine which clients and staff members can access which doors, and what times of day they can use their access.
Scheduled services – Provide access to clients and staff members based on their scheduled services and the times those services occur.
Clients are automatically checked in to the relevant service on WellnessLiving with this method.
If you have a barcode reader installed at the door, clients can gain access using their Achieve Client App barcode.
Caution: We recommend only using one access method. Attempting to use both requires the user be in both a client group and to have a scheduled service when using door access. Errors may occur if implemented incorrectly.
Note: It can take up to 4 minutes for updates to apply in Passport.
Grant access based on client groups
To grant Passport door access based on client groups:
Create a new client group for each level of access you want to provide. It’s best to give this client group an easily identifiable name.
Open Passport, then on the side menu, click Restrictions.
Under Programs, select the client group(s) you want to grant door access to.
Under Output, select the door(s) the group should have access to.
Under Schedule, determine the times and days the access should be granted.
Click Save.
Grant access based on scheduled services
To grant Passport door access based on scheduled services:
Open Passport, then on the side menu, click Client verification.
Under Scheduled visits verification, determine if you want to Deny the client if he has not visit scheduled in the day.
Next to Offset before and Offset after, determine how long before and after a service the client should retain access.
Click Save. When clients use their door access, they’ll automatically be marked as Checked-In in WellnessLiving.
