Question

The preview text *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|* keeps appearing in my email campaigns. Why does the preview text appear?

Answer

This issue is caused by preview text generated by MailChimp. If unwanted preview text keeps appearing in your email campaigns, you can remove the preview text message from the email template or remove the preview text HTML code from your WellnessLiving or MailChimp account. To resolve the issue, follow the instructions below. If the issue persists after completing these steps, please contact WellnessLiving Support.

To remove the preview text on WellnessLiving

  1. Sign in to your MailChimp account.

  2. Follow steps 1–4 under Access the template HTML code on the MailChimp website.

  3. Copy the HTML code from your email template on MailChimp.

  4. Sign in to your WellnessLiving account.

  5. Click the App Drawer button .

  6. In the App Drawer, click View All.

  7. In the list, click Marketing. You can filter the list by entering Marketing into the Search field.

  8. You may have to browse the list, use the Search option, or filter the list to find the email template.

  9. Select the email template you want to modify and click Edit this template .

  10. Under Email Content, click Source code and paste the HTML code.

  11. Click Save.

  12. Under Email Content, delete the blank space on top of the email template.

  13. Click SAVE.

To remove the preview text on MailChimp

  1. Sign in to your WellnessLiving account.

  2. Click the App Drawer button .

  3. In the App Drawer, click View All.

  4. In the list, click Marketing. You can filter the list by entering Marketing into the Search field.

  5. You may have to browse the list, use the Search option, or filter the list to find the email template.

  6. Select the email template you want to modify and click Edit this template .

  7. Under Email Content, click Source code .

  8. Open the search pane by pressing CTRL+F on Windows or CMD+F on Mac OS.

  9. Search *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|*.

  10. Delete all the content that starts with <!--*|MC_PREVIEW TEXT_|*--> and ends with <![endif]-->.

  11. Click Save.

To remove the preview text HTML code on MailChimp

  1. Sign in to your MailChimp account.

  2. Follow steps 1-4 under Access the template HTML code on the Mailchimp website.

  3. Under Plain-Text Email, check to see if the message *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|* appears on top of the email.

  4. Click HTML Source.

  5. Copy and paste the HTML code into a plain text editor, such as Notepad or TextEdit.

  6. Open the search pane by pressing CTRL+F on Windows or CMD+F on Mac OS.

  7. Search *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|*.

  8. Delete the element that starts with <!--*|MC_PREVIEW TEXT_|*--> and ends with <![endif]-->.

  9. Copy the entire HTML code and paste it into the email template on WellnessLiving.

To remove the preview text HTML code on WellnessLiving

  1. Sign in to your WellnessLiving account.

  2. Click the App Drawer button .

  3. In the App Drawer, click View All.

  4. In the list, click Marketing. You can filter the list by entering Marketing into the Search field.

  5. You may have to browse the list, use the Search option, or filter the list to find the email template.

  6. Select the email template you want to modify and click Edit this template .

  7. Under Email Content, click Source code .

  8. Open the search pane by pressing CTRL+F on Windows or CMD+F on Mac OS.

  9. Search *|MC_PREVIEW_TEXT|*.

  10. Delete all the content that starts with <!--*|MC_PREVIEW TEXT_|*--> and ends with<![endif]-->.

  11. Click Save.
