Understanding prospective clients

Prospective clients is a client type for clients that have interacted with your business but haven’t created a full client account with your business yet.

Prospective clients can be:

  • Walk-ins – First-time visitors seeking to utilize promotional offers when engaging with your business. Staff members can add a walk-in client when booking a service from the schedule or when making a sale in the store.

  • Guests – Clients that are interested in trying your products and services but aren’t ready to create an account with your business. Guests can purchase items at your business without registering for an account if Guest Checkout options are enabled in your store settings.

  • Leads – Prospective clients who were captured using the lead capture widget and lead capture automated marketing campaigns.

Once a prospective client buys a Purchase Option, their client type will be updated to Active Member or Active Pass Holder depending on the type of Purchase Option they bought.

Key tips

Guest profiles

  • Guest profiles must be activated and converted into a client profile before staff members can manage their profiles.

  • Guests can’t earn rewards points for their purchases and can’t receive any notifications except for the Purchase Receipt notification.
