Understanding Message Center

WellnessLiving’s Message Center allows your clients and staff members to engage in end-to-end conversations using SMS text messages. You’ll be allotted a specific number of messages to use depending on your Message Center subscription plan.

Only individual clients can be contacted using Message Center. To send an SMS message to a group of clients, see Contacting a group of clients.

What you can do with Message Center

  • Turn any notification into a conversation when clients respond to SMS notifications.

  • Efficiently address client needs such as questions or booking requests via SMS.

  • Converse with clients on the go using the Elevate Staff App.

  • Assign conversations to individual staff members.

Getting started with Message Center

Before you can start using Message Center, follow these steps:

  1. Connect clients' phone numbers – Clients must have a valid cell phone number under the CELL PHONE field on their Profile Details page to receive an SMS message. You can review your clients’ contact details in the All Clients Report and if necessary, change a client’s cell phone number by modifying a client’s profile details.

  2. Enable Message Center – Follow this guide to enable Message Center for your business.

Key Tips

Setup

  • Message Center is currently only available to businesses in the US, Canada, Australia, and the UK. Businesses based in the British Isles outside of the UK can register for Message Center using a mainland UK phone number.

  • All US businesses that use WellnessLiving SMS services for the A2P 10DLC messaging system.

  • Each outbound message sent to a client from your business counts as one message. Likewise, each message that a client sends to your business also counts as one message.

  • Ensure that all SMS messages sent by your business adhere to the Acceptable Use Policy and Messaging Policy.

Keywords

  • A client can choose to unsubscribe to a business’s SMS message using the keywords STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT, at any time. To resubscribe to the business’s SMS messages, the client must reply to the business with either START, YES, or UNSTOP.
