Submitting a regulatory application for Message Center
Updated over a month ago

In some regions, there is an extra step to complete when enabling Message Center. To comply with regulations in certain countries, businesses must submit an application with supporting documentation in order to obtain and use a long code phone number.

Why do I need to submit an application?

Regulators want to know who’s using the phone number and where they’re located. When you adhere to the local regulations and compliance, you’ll get better service from the carriers and be subject to less SMS filtering and interruption.

When do I need to submit my application?

You need to send your application information to WellnessLiving after you’ve selected a subscription plan during the initial process of enabling Message Center.

Note: You won’t be billed for your Message Center subscription until your application has been approved.

What information do I need for the application?

You need to submit three pieces of information to comply with local regulations. For each piece of information, you must include an approved supporting document.

If multiple pieces of required information are displayed on the same document, you can submit that document as proof for all of them. For example, your business’s certificate of incorporation includes the business name and the company number, so you can use that document to prove both.

For more information about the required documentation, see the Twilio Guidelines for your region:
