Appointments can be setup to require staff member approval before the appointment is booked. This article details instructions staff members can follow to approve or deny appointment booking requests.

Staff members can also approve or deny requested appointments from the automated staff notification.

Approve or deny an appointment request from the schedule

Desktop – Staff Back Office

To approve or deny an appointment request from the schedule in the Staff Back Office, complete the following:

  1. Click the App Drawer button then click View All > Schedule.

  2. Click the appointment on the schedule.

  3. Click the Requested status, then click Approve to approve the request or Deny to deny the request. The client will receive a notification informing them of their updated status and all relevant reports and schedules will be updated accordingly.

Mobile – Elevate Staff App

To approve or deny an appointment request from the schedule in the Elevate Staff App, complete the following:

  1. Tap the Schedule tab.

  2. Tap the requested appointment you want to approve or deny. You may need to adjust the schedule’s filters and date range to find the appointment.

  3. On the booking details screen, approve or deny the appointment request:

    • To approve the request, tap Approve.

      • On the Approve Booking Request popup, tap Approve.

        • If the Appointment Request Accepted client notification is enabled, it will be sent to the client who requested the appointment.

        • The client’s attendance status is displayed and can be updated.

    • To deny the request, tap Deny.

      • On the Deny Booking Request popup, tap Deny.

      • If the Appointment Request Denied client notification is enabled, it will be sent to the client who requested the appointment.

Approve or deny an appointment request from the Booking Requests Report

To approve or deny an appointment request from the Booking Requests Report, complete the following:

  1. Click the App Drawer button then click View All > Report > Clients > Booking Requests.

  2. Find the request in the list, then click the Setup button next to it.

  3. Click Accept to approve the request or Deny to deny the request. The client will receive a notification informing them of their updated status and all relevant reports and schedules will be updated accordingly.
