Belts can be added and removed from a client’s profile to track their progress. Once a belt is added to a client’s profile, you can promote the client to higher belt levels and add character and skill values to the belt. Clients will also be able to view their current belt level on their profile in the Client Portal. If the appropriate belt settings are enabled, they can also view the progress they’ve made toward their next promotion.

View a client’s belt history

To view a client’s belt history, follow these steps:

  1. On the Top Nav Bar, click the Search button, enter the client’s information in the box, and click the client’s name to access their profile.

  2. In the side menu, click Belt History.

  3. From the Belt History page, you can:

    1. Add a belt by clicking Add belt.

    2. Modify a belt’s promotion date by clicking the Edit buttonunder Belt Received On.

    3. Promote a client’s belt to the next belt rank by clicking Promote.

Add a belt to a client’s profile

To add a belt to a client’s profile, follow these steps:

  1. On the Top Nav Bar, click the Search button, enter the client’s information in the box, and click the client’s name to access their profile.

  2. Under Belts, click Add belts.

  3. In the list, select the belt that you want to add.

Promote a client to a higher belt level

To promote a client to a higher belt level, follow these steps:

  1. On the Top Nav Bar, click the Search button, enter the client’s information in the box, and click the client’s name to access their profile.

  2. Under Belts, find the belt that the client is currently under.

    • A Ready for promotion badge is displayed under Belts when a client is ready for promotion, but you can always choose to promote the client to a higher belt even if they haven’t met all the belt requirements.

  3. Click the Action buttonthen click Promote.

  4. In the dropdown menu, select the belt level.

    • When you promote a client to a new belt level, their total class attendance history is counted towards their next promotion. To promote them based on the number of classes completed in their current rank, go to the Belt Settings page and set the Reset class attendance requirements after promotion option to ON.

    • The client won’t receive an automated notification for the promotion. To learn how to manually notify the client about the promotion, see Contacting an individual client.

  5. Click the Confirm button

Modify a client’s belt

To modify a client’s belt, follow these steps:

  1. On the Top Nav Bar, click the Search button, enter the client’s information in the box, and click the client’s name to access their profile.

  2. Under Belts, find the belt that you want to modify.

  3. To modify the belt promotion date:

    1. Next to Promoted on, click the Edit button

    2. Click the Calendar button and select a new date.

    3. Click Save.

  4. To modify the character and skill color of a client’s belt:

    1. Next to Character, click the Edit button

    2. Select the desired color for your character and skill.

    3. Click Save.

Character and skill values can be used to represent anything you want. For example, you can use skill values to represent the stripe level of the belt.

Remove a belt from a client’s profile

To remove a belt from a client’s profile, follow these steps:

  1. On the Top Nav Bar, click the Search button, enter the client’s information in the box, and click the client’s name to access their profile.

  2. Under Belts, find the belt that you want to remove.

  3. Click the Action buttonand then click Remove.
