SMS History Report

To access the SMS History Report, click the App Drawer button then click View All > Reports > Marketing > SMS History.

The SMS History Report is a marketing report that provides an overview of all SMS messages sent to clients during the selected date range. The summary cards at the top of the page provide an overview of the key information in the report.

Note: Businesses that use SMS notifications are charged monthly for the SMS messages they send between 12:00 a.m. EST on the first day of month and 11:59 p.m. EST on the last day of the month.

Summary cards in the SMS History Report

Summary card

Description

Total Delivered

The total number of SMS messages sent or received during the selected date range.

Inbound

The total number of SMS messages received during the selected date range.

Outbound

The total amount of SMS messages sent during the selected date range.

Failed

The total number of SMS messages that failed to be sent during the selected date range.

Undelivered

The total number of SMS messages that were undelivered during the selected date range

Marketing

The total number of SMS messages that were delivered via marketing campaigns.

Transactional

The total number of SMS messages that were delivered via client or staff notifications.

Headings in the SMS History Report

Heading

Description

SMS Type

The type of SMS message that was sent.

Sent

The date and time that the SMS message was sent.

Sender

The staff member or client who sent the SMS message.

If the SMS message was automated by the system, the sender will be listed as Automated.

Receiver

The staff member or client who received the message.

Client info is displayed for each client. Click their name or any of the available icons to jump to their client profile.

Status

The status of the SMS message. The possible SMS statuses are:

  • Unopened

    • The message was delivered and not opened.

  • Sent

    • The message was delivered.

  • Scheduled

    • The message was scheduled through QUICK contact to be sent at a future date.

    • Hovering over the badge will display the date and time when the message is scheduled to be sent.

  • Failed

    • The message failed to send. Hover over the status to view the reason for failure.

  • Undelivered

    • The message failed to be sent due to errors with the mobile carrier or destination.

    • This may occur if the number is blocked by the mobile carrier due to carrier filtering, blocked by the recipient, or if the recipient’s phone was turned off.

Channel

Shows if the message was Inbound or Outbound.

Resend

Click the icon in this column to resend the SMS message to the client’s associated mobile phone number.

Body

Click the icon in this column to expand a preview of the SMS message that was sent to the client.

Advanced filters in the SMS History Report

Filter

Description

Notification type

Determines which SMS messages to include in the report based on which notification type was sent. Only one selection can be made at a time.

SMS Status

Determines which SMS messages to include in the report based on their delivery status.

SMS Channel

Determines which SMS messages to include in the report based on whether they were inbound or outbound.

Contact Type

Determines which SMS messages to include in the report based on which contact types were used.
