You can create, modify, or duplicate an appointment type to offer appointment-based services to a client or a small group of clients (up to 15). These appointments can be sorted under different categories such as hair styling, personal training, or massage.
Key tips before you begin
When you modify an appointment type, your changes may affect appointments that have already been booked. For example, if the price is updated for an appointment type, clients with unpaid bookings will be charged the new price when they pay.
Changing the duration of an appointment type won’t affect the duration of any appointments that have already been booked.
Enabling the Appointment Change General Information client notification will notify clients who have upcoming appointments if you make any changes to the appointment type.
Invalid appointments will be indicated by an exclamation mark iconon the Appointments page, and clients won’t be able to book them. This may happen if an appointment is configured improperly. For example, without an associated staff member or without setting the staff member’s working hours.
Create a new appointment type
To create an appointment type, follow these steps:
Click the App Drawer button then click View All > Setup > Services > Appointments.
Go to the appointment category of your choice and click Add Service. If no appointment categories exist, you’ll need to create one first.
Set the appointment settings as required.
Click Save.
Modify an existing appointment type
To modify an existing appointment type, follow these steps:
Click the App Drawer button then click View All > Setup > Services > Appointments.
Go to the appointment category of your choice and click on the appointment you want to modify. Use the Search option or add filters to easily find it.

Duplicate an existing appointment type
To duplicate an existing appointment type, follow these steps:
Click the App Drawer button then click View All > Setup > Services > Appointments.
Go to the appointment category of your choice and click on the appointment you want to duplicate. Use the Search option or add filters to easily find it.
Click Duplicate on the bottom-right corner of the page.
The duplicated appointment will appear in the list as Copy of [name of appointment]. You can now modify the newly duplicated appointment.
