Understanding acceptable use for the Message Center

When using Message Center, all SMS messages sent by your business must adhere to the Acceptable Use Policy and Messaging Policy. Any prohibited content sent to a user via SMS will be considered a violation of policy.

We strongly encourage all WellnessLiving customers that are interested in using Message Center to review the Acceptable Use Policy and Messaging Policy to confirm if their business will be able to comply with the terms detailed in these policies.

Violating the Acceptable Use Policy

Violating the Acceptable Use Policy or Messaging Policy may result in suspension of your business’s use of these services. Businesses who have had their services suspended aren’t entitled to any type of compensation or refund to their Message Center subscription plan.

Example of a violation

Consider the following scenario: A customer sends cannabis or CBD-related messaging to their client using Message Center.

Despite the legality of cannabis and cannabidiol (CBD) in certain regions, SMS messages related to cannabis and CBD are still forbidden in the US due to federal laws prohibiting their sale. Therefore, if a business owner were to send messages using WellnessLiving’s Message Center to promote the marketing or sale of cannabis or CBD products, it would be considered a violation of the Messaging Policy, and by extension, the Acceptable Use Policy, and their services may be suspended.
