Set an item’s store category

Purchase Options, products, gift cards, and events can be placed in one or more store categories. When you select a store category, items in that category will be shown, while those from unselected categories will remain hidden.

Key tips before you begin

  • If an item isn't assigned a store category, it’s placed in the Unassigned category and will only appear when Unassigned is selected.

  • Items can be placed in multiple categories. For example, if you have an “Add-on” store category and a “Products” store category, you may want to place add-on products in both categories so that they appear when either one is selected.

Set a store category for an event

To set a store category for an event, follow these steps:

  1. Click the App Drawer button then click Setup > Events.

  2. Select an existing event or create a new one.

  3. Under Online Store Category, select the store category or categories under which the item should be listed.

  4. Click Save.

Set a store category for a Purchase Option, product, or gift card

To set a store category for a Purchase Option, product, or gift card, follow these steps:

  1. Click the App Drawer button then click Setup > Store Configuration.

  2. Select Purchase Options, Products, or Gift Cards.

  3. Select an existing item or create a new one.

  4. Under Online Store Category, select the store category or categories under which the item should be listed.

  5. Click Save.
