The general business policies you set up apply to appointment types, class types, events, and Book-a-Spot assets; however, you can also set custom business policies for specific services. The custom business policies you set for a service will override your general business policies.
Custom business policies also allow you to individually adjust settings for the service in the Self Check-In Kiosk and Attendance Kiosk.
Note: Custom business policies can only be set for assets that have the Asset can be booked separately from other services setting enabled.
Customize the business policies for an individual service or asset
To customize the business policies for an individual service or asset, complete the following:
Click the App Drawer button
then click View All > Setup > Services.
On the Services menu, click Appointments, Classes, Events, or Book-a-Spot depending on the service you want to modify.
Click the service or asset for which you want to customize the business policies.
Under Custom Business Policies, click Use [service/asset] specific business policies.
Modify the business policies as required. For more information, see Business policy settings.
Modify the Check-In Policy as desired:
Choose whether you want to Allow clients to check in to this service via the Client Portal or Achieve mobile app.
Choose whether you want to Allow clients to check in to this service via Self Check-In Kiosk. This setting affects clients using the Self Check-In Kiosk and the Check-In App.
Determine whether you want to Allow clients to check in to this service via Attendance Kiosk. This setting affects clients using the Attendance Kiosk and Attendance Mode in the Check-In App.
Set the amount of time Self check-in period before session starts.
Set the number of minutes Self check-in period after session has started.
Choose whether you want to Allow self check-in for unpaid sessions.
Click Save. The service or asset will display the Custom booking policies icon to indicate that custom business policies are in use.
