Grant door access to clients and staff members
Updated over a week ago

If your business is integrated with Brivo, you can provide door access to your clients using client groups.

This same action can be performed for staff members, as each staff member profile in WellnessLiving also has a linked client profile.

For examples of your business can use door access, see Door Access powered by Brivo.

Grant door access to clients

Door access must be provided to a client group. To grant door access to clients, follow these steps:

  1. Create a new client group or modify an existing one.

  2. Set the DOOR ACCESS SETTINGS option set to ON. For more information, see Creating a client group. It’s best to give this client group an easily identifiable name.

    • We are currently beta testing a feature that allows you to send Brivo mobile pass invitations to all clients in the group by setting the Assign mobile credentials option to ON.

      • When activated, every client in the group will receive an invitation to the Brivo mobile app.

      • We strongly recommend encouraging your clients to create an account on their Brivo app once they accept the invitation, so that if they ever uninstall the app or change phones, they can log in without needing another invitation.

      • Clients that don’t have emails on their profiles won’t be sent an invitation, but once they add an email their invitation will be automatically sent, as long as they’re still in the client group.

      • Any new client added to the group will receive the invitation email as soon as they’re added to the group.

      • If a client redeems the mobile pass invite and is later removed from the client group, you won’t need to resend the invitation because the Brivo app will auto-update their door access permissions. Same thing applies to existing clients in a group that already received invitations and are moved to another group.

      • If the toggle is turned off, new clients added to the group won’t receive invitations, but existing clients that already received their invitations will be unaffected. If the toggle is turned on again, the invitation email will be sent to any clients added to the group when the toggle was off.

      • Mobile pass invitations can be individually sent to clients in this group by clicking the Action button on a client’s profile overview page and clicking Send Brivo mobile pass invitation. If the client already redeemed the pass, the invitation won’t be resent.

  3. Add your clients to the client group you just made. For more information, see Adding and removing clients from a client group.

You now have the client profiles of your desired clients added into a client group that has Door Access settings enabled. The Door Access integration will automatically add the client group as an access group in Brivo, which will allow you to use Brivo’s software to manage access settings and permissions for them.

You can easily track which of your clients have door access by going to their client profile and checking which client groups they belong to. Adding icons to your client groups makes this even easier to visually verify.

Grant door access to staff members

To grant door access to staff members, follow these steps:

  1. Identify the staff members that you want to grant door access to.

  2. Create a new client group with the DOOR ACCESS SETTINGS option set to ON. For more information, see Creating a client group.

    • You may want to give this client group an easily identifiable name, like “Staff” or “Staff member door access”.

  3. Add the client profiles of your staff members to the client group you just made. For more information, see Adding and removing clients from a client group.

You now have the client profiles of your desired staff members added into a client group that has Door Access settings enabled. The Door Access integration will automatically add the client group as an access group in Brivo, which will allow you to use Brivo’s software to manage access settings and permissions for them.
