A2P 10DLC (Application-to-person 10-Digit Long Code) is the latest spam-preventative messaging system in the US that allows businesses to send messages from applications via standard 10-digit long code phone numbers. Registering for A2P 10DLC makes your SMS messages less likely be marked as spam messages or blocked by your clients’ mobile carriers, increasing the delivery rate.

All US businesses that use WellnessLiving’s SMS services to send automated marketing notifications and custom SMS messages to clients (QUICK Contact) MUST sign up for A2P 10DLC messaging.

Key tips before you begin

  • Only staff members with the Edit SMS settings staff role permission can access and submit the A2P registration form.

  • If you want to upgrade your SMS campaign from the low-volume campaign to the standard campaign, contact WellnessLiving Support.

Step 1: Opt in or out of WellnessLiving SMS services

To opt in or out of WellnessLiving SMS services, complete the following:

  1. Click the App Drawer button then click View All > Setup > Business > SMS Settings > A2P Status.

  2. Under A2P Settings:

    • To subscribe to WellnessLiving SMS services, click Opt in to SMS.

    • To unsubscribe from WellnessLiving SMS services, click Opt out of SMS.

Step 2: Sign up for A2P 10DLC messaging system

Note: It’s important to enter your business information exactly as shown in your tax documents (for example, W2, W9, and CP575) when filling out your application.

Once you have opted in to WellnessLiving’s SMS services, you can sign up for the A2P 10DLC messaging system by completing the following:

  1. Click the App Drawer button then click View All > Setup > Business > SMS Settings > A2P Registration Form.

  2. Under REGISTRATION OPTIONS, select a plan that fits your business needs. This is a separate fee you pay in addition to your SMS allotment plan and/or Message Center subscription plan.

    • Register for a low-volume campaign – Select this option if your business sends up to 6,000 message segments in a day. If you choose this plan, you’ll be charged a $19 one-time brand registration fee and a monthly campaign fee of $1.50.

    • Register for a standard campaign – Select this option if your business sends over 6,000 message segments in a day. This plan allows you to send an unlimited number of message segments. If you choose this plan, you’ll be charged a $59 one-time brand registration fee and a monthly campaign fee of $10.

    • Register for a starter campaign – Select this option if you’re a sole proprietor without a tax ID, for example, an Employer Identification Number (EIN). An EIN is also known as a Federal Tax Identification Number and is used to identify a business entity who sends up to 3,000 message segments in a day.

      • If you choose this plan, you’ll be charged a $19 one-time brand registration fee and a monthly campaign fee of $2.

  3. Under BUSINESS INFORMATION, complete all the required fields. For more information, see SMS settings.

  4. Click Submit application. Once submitted, you can review your application, but you won’t be able to modify the details.

Step 3: Check your A2P application status

To check your A2P application status, follow these steps:

  1. Click the App Drawer button then click View All > Setup > Business > SMS Settings > A2P Status.

  2. Under A2P STATUS, you can view your A2P application status. Your application is considered approved when both brand registration and campaign statuses display Approved.

    When your application is approved:

    • The long-code phone number allocated to your business will be displayed. You can use this number to send all your SMS messages from WellnessLiving.

    • If you use Message Center, your phone number will be displayed on the Settings page in Message Center. If you use Message Center and decide to change your number, you can do so on the Settings page of Message Center without needing to resubmit the A2P application.

    • Subscription fees will be billed to your account.
