Set a staff member’s pay rates
Updated this week

You can set trackable pay rates for your staff members based on sales, services, or hourly work. Pay rates are set individually per each staff member but can be copied from one staff member to another for convenience.

Caution: Important Notes on Pay Rate modifications

  • If you need to change a staff member’s existing pay rate, you must create a new pay rate instead. Any changes made to an existing rate will update past payment reports (except for commission rates related to purchase payments). This means previous reports may be altered if the rate is changed.

  • Once a commission is applied to a staff member after a purchase, it can’t be reversed. Even if the sale is voided or refunded, the commission will still show up in your reports. This means payroll calculations will need to be manually adjusted.

Tip: To avoid issues, double-check that each staff member’s commission pay rates are correct when you set a staff member’s pay rates.
