Set up tips for staff members

You can allow clients to tip your staff members by enabling tips in your store settings. With tips enabled, you can also set up predefined tip amounts, which allow tips to be quickly added when booking an appointment for a client on the Elevate Staff App.

Key tips before you begin

  • The setting options for predefined tips, the No Tip button, and requiring a client signature when leaving a tip are only available if tips are enabled.

  • Predefined tips and the No Tip button only appear when booking and paying for an appointment for a client on the Elevate Staff App.

Enable tips

To enable tips, complete the following:

  1. Click the App Drawer button then click View All > Setup > Store Configuration > Store Settings.

  2. Under Tips, set the Accept gratuity at checkout option to ON.

  3. If you want the client to provide a signature after adding a tip to an appointment, set the Client needs to sign after selecting the tip option to ON.

    • If this option is set to ON, the client’s signature will be displayed at the bottom of their receipt.

  4. Click SAVE.

Set predefined tips to display in the Elevate Staff App

To set up predefined tips that will appear in the Elevate Staff App, complete the following:

  1. Click the App Drawer button then click View All > Setup > Store Configuration > Store Settings.

  2. Under Tips, set the Accept gratuity at checkout option to ON.

  3. Set the Set up predefined gratuity option to ON.

  4. Under PREDEFINED PERCENTAGES, add or remove predefined tips:

    • To add a predefined tip:

      1. Click the Add predefined tip button Image

      2. In the % field, enter the tip amount as a percentage.

      3. Click the Confirm button Image

    • To remove a predefined tip:

      1. Click the predefined tip.

      2. In the confirmation popup, click OK.

    • To display a No Tip button, set Display “No Tip” option to ON.

    • If you want the client to provide a signature after adding a tip to an appointment booked in Elevate, set the Client needs to sign after selecting the tip option to ON.

      • If this option is set to ON, the client’s signature will be displayed at the bottom of their receipt.

    • Click SAVE.
