Redeem a gift card as a staff member

You can redeem gift cards for a client during checkout or from their client profile. Once sold to a client, card details are found in the client’s profile

Key tips

  • QUICK gift cards and gift cards for specific services or products can only be redeemed from the client's profile and can’t be redeemed in the store during checkout.

  • A gift card that contains an expired Purchase Option can't be redeemed.

  • Redeeming a dollar value gift card

    • Dollar value gift cards redeemed from a client profile add the full value of the gift card as a credit in the client’s account balance.

    • Dollar value gift cards redeemed in the store during a purchase leave the remaining balance on the card. The balance appears in the New Balance field on the store checkout page and under the Current Balance column in the Gift Cards Report.

Find and redeem a purchased gift card

To find and use a purchased gift card:

  1. Click Search at the top of the page, then enter the information for the client who purchased the gift card and click their name.

  2. On the side menu, click Account > Passes & Memberships.

  3. Under Gift Cards, find the gift card you want to view.

  4. Under the Action column, click Action and select View details. The gift card, value, and redemption code are displayed.

  5. Click Use or scan the barcode on the gift card barcode with your barcode scanner.

    • Dollar value gift cards are redeemed from your store at checkout.

    • Product or service specific gift cards are redeemed from the client's Billing & Account Balance page.

Redeem a dollar value gift card during checkout

To redeem a dollar value gift card during checkout:

  1. During checkout, select the Gift Cards payment method.

  2. Under Enter Gift Card or Voucher Code, enter the gift card redemption code.

    • To redeem a physical gift card, enter the gift card redemption number or scan barcode with your barcode scanner.

    • Only one gift card can be used at checkout. To use multiple gift cards on a single transaction, add the gift cards to the client’s account balance then use the account balance to pay for the transaction.

  3. Click Complete.

Redeem a gift card from a client profile

Browser – Staff Back Office

To redeem a purchased gift card from a client profile using the Staff Back Office:

  1. Click Search at the top of the page, then enter the client details and click their name.

  2. On the side menu of the client’s profile, click Account > Billing & Account Balance.

  3. Under Gift Card Redemption, enter the gift card redemption code.

    • To redeem a physical gift card, enter the gift card redemption number or scan barcode with your barcode scanner.

  4. Click Redeem. The gift card and any associated deal will be applied to the client’s account.

Mobile – Elevate Staff App

To redeem a gift card from the client profile using the Elevate Staff App:

  1. Tap the Clients tab.

  2. In the Search box, enter the client’s information, then tap their name.

  3. Tap Options then tap Account Balance.​

  4. Under Gift Card Redemption, enter the gift card code.

  5. Tap Redeem. The gift card code and any associated deal will be applied to the client’s account.
