Redeem a gift card as a staff member

Staff members can redeem gift cards for a client during checkout or from their client profile. Once sold to a client, the gift card’s information can be found in their profile until the gift card is redeemed.

Key tips before you begin

  • QUICK gift cards and gift cards for specific services or products can only be redeemed from the client's profile and can’t be redeemed in the store during checkout.

  • You can’t redeem any gift card containing a Purchase Option that has already expired.

  • When a gift card is redeemed during checkout, any remaining balance of the gift card will be displayed in the New Balance field on the store checkout page and under the Current Balance column in the Gift Cards Report.

Find and redeem a purchased gift card

To find and use a purchased gift card’s redemption code:

  1. Click Search on the top nav bar, search for the client that purchased the gift card, and click their name.

  2. On the side menu, click Account > Passes & Memberships.

  3. Under Gift Cards, find the gift card you want to view.

  4. Under the Action column of the gift card, click Action and select View details. The gift card, its value, and its redemption code number are displayed.

  5. Click USE. Alternatively, if your business uses a barcode scanner, you can scan the barcode that appears above the gift card’s redemption number.

    • Gift cards with a dollar value take you to your store, where you can sell a product or service and redeem the gift card at checkout.

    • Gift cards for a specific product or service take you to the client's Billing & Account Balance page, where you can enter the redemption code under Gift Card Redemption, then click Redeem.

Redeem a dollar value gift card during checkout

To redeem a dollar value gift card during checkout, follow these steps:

  1. During checkout, select the Gift Cards payment method.

  2. Under Enter Gift Card or Voucher Code, enter the gift card’s redemption code.

    • If you’re redeeming a physical gift card, enter the number from the physical card or scan the card with a barcode scanner to automatically populate the gift card number.

    • Only one gift card can be used at checkout. To use multiple gift cards on a single transaction, the gift cards must first be added to the client’s account balance. You can then use the client’s account balance to pay for the transaction.

  3. Click Complete.

Redeem a gift card from a client profile

Desktop – Staff Back Office

To redeem a gift card from a client profile using the Staff Back Office, complete the following:

  1. On the Top Nav Bar, click the Search button, search for the client that purchased the gift card, and click their name.

  2. On the side menu of the client’s profile, click Account > Billing & Account Balance.

  3. Under Gift Card Redemption, enter the gift card’s redemption code.

    • If you’re redeeming a physical gift card, enter the number from the physical card or scan the card with a barcode scanner to automatically populate the gift card number.

  4. Click Redeem. The gift card code and any associated deal will be applied to the client’s account.

Mobile – Elevate Staff App

To redeem a gift card from the client profile using the Elevate Staff App, complete the following:

  1. Tap the Clients tab.

  2. Enter the client’s information in the Search box, then tap their name in the list.

  3. Tap the Options button then tap Account Balance.

  4. Under Gift Card Redemption, enter the gift card code.

  5. Tap Redeem. The gift card code and any associated deal will be applied to the client’s account.
